This year’s 5-day prayer and fasting fell on the same week as my first week at doing “real” work. It was so difficult that I wanted to give up. I wanted to cry. Good thing God’s timing was so perfect. While I was struggling at work, at the end of the day, I attend the prayer meeting and be reminded of His promises and His faithfulness. God has also sent me people who really encouraged me to press on. The whole week, God constantly reminded me to just tap on His grace and find peace in His presence.
It was also a great week of having the privilege to pray for our family and friends, for our country, for other nations, for the missionaries and for the youth.
Truly believing for a year of miracles, answered prayers and favor!
Fasting in the biblical sense is choosing no to partake of food because your spiritual hunger is so deep, your determination in intercession so intense, or your spiritual warfare so demanding that you have temporarily set aside even fleshly needs to give yourself to prayer and meditation. – Wesley Duewel
